Lake City Christian Academy
About Us
Welcome to LCCA
Lake City Christian Academy is an interdenominational, private educational facility. It is dedicated to academic excellence in a Christian environment. Lake City Christian Academy was founded in January 1994 with 25 students. The Academy was situated on a one acre lot in a 3,000 square foot building for administrative offices and elementary classrooms, as well as five adjacent modular buildings for middle and high school classes. LCCA held classes at that facility until may 2000; at which time, the current 20 acre property was acquired. The five modular buildings were relocated during the summer of 2000, with the 2000-01 school term commencing September 5, 2000.
Since that time, the Academy has had five key expansions with the acquisition of over 11,000 square feet of additional instructional and administrative space. We began with five instructional rooms and a modest administration office; currently we have 17 classrooms, an administration office and a full service cafeteria.
Additionally, we have been fortunate to refurbish and maintain a 15 acre equestrian facility with a 14- stall barn, riding arena and turnout pastures. Along with our mainstream populous of students, we work with many physically and mentally impaired children and children who are at risk. in an effort to enrich their lives, we found a way to help meet the needs of some of these children through therapeutic horseback riding, an established program through the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA). Ms. Norris, LCCA Administrator and Executive Director, is a certified NARHA instructor. This program has been challenging and enlightening for many of our students since 2005.
